We spent almost all of the time, in both classes, doing sparring drills.
We started shifting back and forth to warm up. Then someone would lead the class and we would follow their shifting moves.  We then partnered up while one shifts and we keep up with them. Next, the same type of drill but with attacks and blocks. Both classes were similar but in the second class, with the advanced belts, we did some free sparring. I got to spar my friend Robert, he always tries to sweep my front leg or hook kick my head but I really pay close attention when I spar him and look for those moves in particular. He came close to sweeping me this time but I did have a reason. I tore the bottom of my right foot open on the floor of the gym and I was paying more attention to the pain than Roberts moves but I was still able to keep enough mind on the sparring to keep him from taking me down.
We finished up with a bunch of low walks and class was then over.
